Jason Keller

Music

Jason is a freelance performer, educator, and small business owner living in Newark, DE. Being
involved with music and the marching arts for over fifteen years, he has worked with over a
dozen percussion programs throughout Delaware and surrounding states. Among them are high
schools, colleges and independent organizations, including the Baltimore Ravens, Shepherd
University, Jersey Surf Drum & Bugle Corps, Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, and United
Percussion. His musical career has taken him all around the country as well as internationally to
countries such as Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Venezuela, and Guatemala. Jason has also been
a teaching artist for Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education (DIAE) since 2018.
Jason is the founder of J.K. Percussion & Arts, a company focused on assisting the growth of
musicians and to help enhance Performing Arts programs throughout the state of Delaware and
surrounding areas. Services include private lessons, recording and music production, rehearsal
space, and an adult steel band program. He has worked with individuals and groups all over the
U.S. as well as internationally, with organizations located in Colombia and Guatemala.
Jason is also the Founder and Board President of Resolution Steel Orchestra Inc, a non-profit
performing arts organization located in Wilmington, DE that gives youth a musical and cultural
experience, centered around the steelpan, in a safe, inclusive social environment.
Jason studied Music at the University of Delaware. As a performer, he has played with a wide
variety of ensembles including competitive marching ensembles, jazz bands, orchestras, funk
bands, latin percussion ensembles, and more. He currently plays drums for First Baptist Church
of Delaware in New Castle on Sundays, and is the worship leader for Christ Church Christiana
Hundred’s contemporary service on Saturdays.
