William Reid
Drama
William Reid (He/Him/His) is an early career actor located just outside of Philadelphia. He has worked on film and stage in varying degrees and loves when he can connect with an audience through his character. Aside from his work on the stage, he has spent the past year developing a passion for working with youth in the performing arts. Most of his work has been teaching weekly acting classes or directing full-fledged productions of licensed musicals. His work as an educator has a strong foundation in using the actor’s text to form the basis of their character portrayal. This is achieved with interrogative questions personalized to each actor and their character. These conversations typically arise in the midst of rehearsal and tend to be spur of the moment ideas that the actor or he uncover through our work. He has found astounding success with this method and seen the students grow exponentially in both his productions and classes. He believes that this method helps instill a love and attention to the craft that most young actors are remiss about. Current and future shows: Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition and Finding Nemo, Jr. Past shows include The Lion King, Kids & Creature Sing-Along and A Christmas Carol.
